Progress On Body Reassembly

This week I finally got some time to start working on the Isetta after getting it back from the body shop. The first thing I did was hook up the front brake lines.

I also installed the rear bumper, luggage rack, and some other misc. body parts. The rear nerf bars are the original ones that I had re-chromed. The bumper came from Isettas R Us. In my humble opinion, it's the very best bumper available for Isettas. The fit is absolutely perfect. It is manufactured exactly like the original only better. A little heavier gauge steel and beautiful chrome plating. Next up I'm going to start installing the sound deadening material on the inside of the body, and installing the wiring harness.

2012 Kansas City Microcar Meet

I thought 2012 was going to be the year I drove my Isetta to the Kansas City Microcar meet, but unfortunately it didn't quite happen. This years meet was held May 20th, and the weather couldn't have been more beautiful.

Here's a couple of links to photos of previous meets.

Reunited And It Feels So Good!

After a long separation my Isetta chassis and body have been reunited! I took my chassis out to the body shop today so the Creative Classics crew could help me set the body back on the chassis. Everything went pretty smooth. Now all I have left to do is some minor reassembly, upholstery, wire harness, and installing the glass and it should be ready to be back on the road.
